Former Rayon Sports and Amavubi Stars coach Raoul Pierre Shungu has left DR Congo’s Saint Eloi Lupopo to take up Congo Brazzaville side Diable Noirs.Shungu, who led Rayon Sports to the Cecafa club championship in 1998, has been in charge of Lupopo for the last four years but resigned recently citing personal reasons.Diables Noirs are the biggest rival to AC Leopards, whom Rayon Sports will face in the preliminary round of the Africa Champions League next month.Shungu managed the Blues from 1997-2004 winning four league titles in 1997, 1998, 2002 and 2004), CECAFA Club title and Peace Cup title in 1998 before heading to Seychelles where he spent four years as their national technical director.In 2008, Shungu returned to Rayon but left one year to take up DR Congo’s AS Vita Club before joining Lupopo in 2010. He managed Amavubi team following the resignation of the late Josip Kuze in 2008. Kuze passed away in June last year after a long illness.
