HUYE–based Mukura Victory Sports are eager to collect all three points from their Boxing Day match against bottom side Amagaju FC at Kamena stadium. The game gets underway at 3:30p.m. Cedric Kaze’s Mukura, who lost 1-0 to Kiyovu SC last Saturday at Stade de Kigali, are looking forward to a likely comeback which they badly need. Mukura have lost seven out of eleven league matches this season, the highest number of defeats in the league save for the bottom two sides in the 14-team topflight division league. Only Amagaju and Esperance have lost more games than Mukura. “I am very aware that the team is not performing well and we are working on fixing the problem during training. We definitely need to win Thursday’s (today) match against Amagaju in order to boost our confidence,” Kaze told Times Sport. Meanwhile, the club management has suspended two players – Jackson Nkurikiye and Jarudi Ntakirutimana – on disciplinary grounds. According to Kaze, the duo will not play for Mukura for at least two months without pay and a final decision on their fate would be made thereafter. Mukura are in ninth position with 12 points, having won four and lost seven league matches. APR lead the league table with 23 points.
