Editor, Reference is made to the exclusive interview you conducted with Nation Media’s Group’s Charles Onyango-Obbo. It was a good read. On the question of “what else” to say about Rwanda, one would have expected a politicised picture painted à la some journalists. But Charles shed some light on a small world of anonymous creative minds and their unsung psalms: the real people of Rwanda waking up early, struggling to make a living and resting late. The sum of their work pops up in the international economic ratings. I urge our journalists to think big and strive to overcome their daily hassle inside a tricky business sphere as tough and challenging as Kigali. From a Diaspora standpoint, reading the interview was a test and a taste of nostalgia with a self-inflicted torture: Been outside too long? Way to go: East African Community is calling.
