Why philosophy, critical thinking hold the future

Editor,My wish and aspiration towards philosophy is to see it cultivated into the Rwandan education curriculum and culture. My reaction will be based on the importance of having this ability to think reason and know.Philosophy is the mother of all disciplines. Aristotle was the first to classify the various disciplines of human knowledge such as biology, physics, logic to mention but a few. I do believe that in all aspects of humanity, philosophy takes precedence and for today’s societies that do not embrace it, the impact shall always be ignorance in a way.Unless Rwandan develop fully the quality of our thoughts, we shall never recognise possibilities that before had no meanings to us. Thought is the only product of thinking. Philosophy and the continued search for reality has got a tremendous impact in both scientific and social research that broadens our hands on experiences to scale up knowledge expansion.Fellow Rwandans, the study of this creative process of thought and how to apply them is of supreme importance to each one of us and it’s a measure of humanity. Humanity should ardently seek “the truth” and explore every avenue to it.Everything and institutions we see around us created by human agency, had first existed as a thought in some human mind as a spiritual power that we possess in nature.Societies can be transformed if they took a stance to critically reflect on them in the physical world and this will eventually lead us to the real world. The problems we see and encounter today is as a result of minding less and taking them for granted without question.The real world is within, and the only way to be conscious of it, this within ought to be improved through studying and learning philosophy.
