ASCOKI, the umbrella body in charge of sports in cooperate companies has urged more companies to register their teams for athletics, swimming and table tennis competitions set for next month. ASCOKI president Parfait Buzagizwe said last week that most companies were unable to beat registration deadline, which had been set for earlier. “No single company registered in these minor sports disciplines that I’m appealing to them to register,” Buzagizwe Competition dates for athletics, swimming and table tennis sports will be set as soon as companies wind up with registration. However, other sports disciplines that include football, volleyball and basketball have kicked off and they have reached into their third day of preliminary round. Companies like BCR, RRA, BK, ELECTROGAZ, ORINFOR, MINADEF, CAISE SOCIALLE and INTERSEC have fielded their teams into football. While RRA, MINISPOC, RAMA, ELECTROGAZ, MINADEF, CAISE SOCIALLE and BRALIRWA have entered teams in volleyball. KIE, BRALIRWA, ORINFOR, BCR, MINADEF and ELECTROGAZ have their clubs featuring in the basketball league. Ends
