RAYON SPORT Volleyball Club has continued to strengthen its squad with the latest signing of two youthful players right attacker Nelson Murangwa and Ivan Sabimana Mahoro, all on a two-year contract deal. The 20 year-old pair of Murangwa and Nsabimiana were recruited from Group Scolaire de Butare. They join other new recruits to the club such as Guillaume Irakarama, Eugene Tuyishime and Jean Luc Mbonyuwontuma Kizungu, all from National University of Rwanda. Other new signings include; left attacker Evode Munyandinda, setter Theogene Tuyishime and right attacker Eric Machine Nsabimana, all from National University of Rwanda, as well as international centre Vincent Dusabimana Gasongo, who spent last season in Qatar. The Nyanza-based side has also signed left attacker Athanase Bigirimana, centre Fred Musoni and libero Alexis ‘Debande’ Ntakirutimana, all from APR. The team is reported to be on the verge of signing three more players who are yet to be revealed according to head coach Fidele Nyirimana. Nyirimana who handed the 2013 volleyball league title to former club NUR, kicked off preparations for next season over the weekend at Amahoro indoor stadium.
