Just a few months after dropping his latest mixtape and a couple of singles, Rwandan rapper Ish Kevin is now in Nairobi, Kenya, where he is expected to spend months creating fresh linkups with emerging Kenyan music stars, promoting his sound in the country as well as studying music professionally. The Rwandan youngster touched down in the Kenyan capital on Wednesday, August 16, where he has a number of music projects with some of the country's top musicians. The rapper also said that he will be producing music with young talents from Nairobi including upcoming rappers like Boutross and Buruklyn Boyz. The album will follow his fifth extended play 'Long Way Up' and 'Trappish 2' mixtape which featured big artistes like Nigeria's Ycee. The rapper, songwriter, digital influencer, and entrepreneur is among the most loved Rwandan musicians in the world. His single, “No Cap”, a sturdy banger acclaimed as one of the hardest Drill songs of the year by GRM Daily, helped to build Ish Kevin’s popularity, leading up to his recent, stadium-sized, headlining concert. His latest release “Trappish2”, a seven-track mixtape features a number of well-known musicians, both locally and internationally. Ish Kevin’s lyricism has been recognized across the continent with a nomination in the Senegalese-based Galsen Hip Hop Awards.
