Nollywood’s Ramsey Nouah to promote Rwanda in movie

Award-winning Nigerian actor Ramsey Tokunbo Nouah Jr is looking for beautiful and talented ladies to star in his new movie to promote Rwanda.According to Ramsey, the movie is aimed at promoting Rwanda’s tourism and investment sectors in Africa.“The movie is about a love story between a Nigerian businessman and a Rwandan woman. It is Ramsey’s movie and he was inspired to make it when he visited Rwanda for Kwita Izina ceremony,” the Rwandan High Commissioner to Nigeria Joseph Habineza told The New Times in an email.“We’re conducting online pre-selections and the shooting should start in January next year. This film will promote Rwanda as a tourism and investment destination,” said Habineza. The movie is estimated to cost a whopping US$1.5 million.Habineza said several corporate organisations have expressed interest to bank-roll the movie. “Any organisation that wants to be associated with Rwanda’s success story is also welcome,” Habineza added.Rwanda is a tourist destination for international travelers with a rich cultural heritage and exceptional tourism attractions.During his recent visit to the country during the 9th Gorilla naming ceremony, Kwita Izina, the actor was fascinated by the country’s tourism attractions such as Mountain gorillas, Akagera, and Nyungwe national parks, museums, bird watching and Congo Nile Trail, among others.The cast and crew of the film will comprise mainly Rwandan actors, with Ramsey as the main character.Interested people can get in touch with the Rwandan High Commission office in Nigeria. Who is Ramsey?Ramsey Tokunbo Nouah Jr, born 16 July 1973, is a Nigerian actor. His acting career kicked off when he starred in the Nigerian TV soap opera ‘Fortunes’. He has since then appeared in numerous films starring as the lead role.He has been called “Lover-Boy” for his numerous roles in romantic films. In 2010, he won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in the Best Picture award winning film, The Figurine. Ramsey is considered to be one of the most sought-after actors in Nigeria.
