Muhazi FC put up a spirited performance to earn a point at Kigali Pele Stadium on Sunday, August 20, as they held Kiyovu Sports to a goalless draw. Muhazi had a good game from the beginning and they could have even won the game but lacked the needed fire power upfront. Kiyovu Sports were not allowed any space in the middle as Muhazi new signing Joseph Louis Sackey gave Olivier Niyonzima no room to operate. The second half saw Kiyovu improving upon their game but the likes of Fred Muhozi could not penetrate through Muhazi defense. Both teams had a fair share of chances in the second half but could not convert them. The last ten minutes of the game saw Muhazi coach Emmanuel Ruremesha moving more men at the back as they held on to a convincing 0-0 draw. Elsewhere, at Huye Stadium, Abdul Rukundo gave Amagaju the lead in the first seconds of the match but Cedric Kubwimana equalized for Mukura Victory Sports in the 67th minute as the game ended 1-1. Musanze FC traveled to Ngoma to destroy newly-promoted team Etoile de l'Est 4-1 win. Striker Peter Agblevor scored a brace against his former team with Mathaba Lethabo and Pacifique Tuyishime adding two more goals while Sunday Inemesit scored a consolation was netted for Etoile. Meanwhile, two second half goals from new signing Abedi Bigirimana and Didier Mugisha in the 76th and 81st minute respectively saw Police FC overcome Sunrise FC 2-0 to start the new season on a high. At the Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu, Johnson Adeaga converted a 10th minute penalty to give Gorilla a 1-0 lead but Ibrahim Niyosenga equalized for Etincelles in the 41st minute as the pair locked in a 1-1 draw.
