RwandAir rewards loyal customers

Rwandair has rewarded some of its loyal customers under the ‘Dream Miles’ programme. Jean-Paul Barakagwira, a Kigali-based businessman and Teta Mpyisi, the MTN head of communications and public relations, each won with a free return air ticket to any destination of their choice. The winners were unveiled at the airline’s ‘Dream Miles day’ in Kigali on Wednesday. Speaking at the event, John Mirenge, the RwandAir chief executive officer, revealed that the ‘Dream Miles’ project has registered 13,000 passengers over the past three years. Mirenge revealed the airline now flies half a million passengers every year from just over 10,000 when it started operations. About dream miles Dorah Kirezi, the Dream Miles project co-ordinator, said they have four categories under the project – gold, diamond, silver and emerald. She said clients who hit above 100,000 miles a year qualify for diamond category, and are entitled to 100 per cent tier activity bonus. (Courtesy) “Any miles earned above 25,000 miles annually qualifies one for the silver category, as well as a 25 per cent tier activity bonus. Those who attain 50,000 miles are in gold category,” she noted. The entry level of the Dream Miles programme entitles one to a 1,000 miles bonus. RwandAir is scheduled to start flying to Lusaka, Zambia and Abidjan Ivory Coast early next year. The airline also flies to 16 destinations in 12 countries. business@newtimes.co.rw
