Kisimenti or Chez Lando, as many folks like to call it, is a fast-growing neighbourhood in Remera, Gasabo District. It is famous for its many restaurants and bars with some of the establishments open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

When I date a woman, then I know exactly what she is like. If she wants to show some skin then why not? Short skirts, hot pants…whatever! If she is comfortable then so am I.

Four things come to my mind when I see a lady dressed provocatively. She is either an exhibitionist, a flesh peddler, insecure or has self esteem issues and in most cases, it IS one of the four! 

The most pathetic sight I’ve seen in Kigali so far is of the so called modern man. He dons a well pressed and fitting suit and an equally impressive pair of shoes; you can’t help but envy him. But taking a closer look, you will find huge headphones on around his ears and a rucksack on his back carrying his precious MacBook Pros and iPods while nursing his iPhone5 in both his hands like his life depends on it!

Some people choose not to tell their current partners about children they had before they met. If you found out your partner had a child after dating awhile, what would you do?  Society Magazine’s Martin Bishop asked some individuals what they would do.

Down memory lane in 2008, on a bus to Kampala, this cute neighbour of mine seemed to know for a fact that I love being pampered. At every bus stop, he bought me a drink or a snack; he kept re-assuring me it was okay to spend on me while I spared my money.

After hearing a lot of rumours about the sports betting craze, my curiosity was piqued. So I stormed one of the many betting spots in Remera on Saturday. I found it packed to the brim. In fact, it was almost impossible to enter and motorcycles clogged the entrance.
