Isonga FC release 16 for top flight clubs
ISONGA FC have released 16 of their star players to top flight National Football League clubs in the upcoming season to create room for other young budding players.
Ferwafa secretary general Michel Gasingwa confirmed the development in a statement on Saturday.
“The decision to release these players to either local clubs or foreign clubs outside Rwanda will help give a chance to other young, talented players to raise through the ranks as we continue to scout and elevate raw talent,” said Gasingwa.
According to Gasingwa, any club which will be interested in any player must commit itself to catering for school dues for the player (s), how he will play in the club in question, how the player will be handled, what will happen if the contract is not honoured, and the choice of the preferred player.
The majority of the players who will be released featured at last year’s Fifa U-17 World Cup in Mexico and constitute the national U-20 team which has been taking part in the 2013 African Youth Championship qualifiers prior to their elimination.
