APR hold youth hoops training camp

IN a bid to continue their dominance of sport in the country, APR Basketball club has started a youth camp where they will develop young talent and later draft them into the senior team.
Up to 50 players in three different categories, 10-13, 14-16, 17-19, will take part in the four week training camp at Cassie Sociale under coaches such as Cliff Owuor, Karim Nkusi, Frank Rubanzangabo and Abiddary Bisanukuri.
APR’s senior team head coach Cliff Owuor says the club is looking to the future and wants to “have a series of training camps where we will pick young talented players and develop them into basketball stars”.
Meanwhile, the National Basketball league is expected to start later this month after the rigorous evaluation of existing laws and changing outdated rules according to Rwanda Basketball Federation vice president Freddy Makuza.
