Operators of small and micro businesses from the East African Community (EAC) that are participating in the ongoing international trade fair in Kigali want special treatmen,t especially on fees paid for stands as one way of benefiting from regional integration.
Kenya Airways plans to shed staff through voluntary retirement, redundancies and outsourcing of non-core roles in order to contain soaring costs and protect its bottom line, it said on Friday, but unions said they would fight the job cuts.
