Editor, Allow me to express my happiness following the good news yesterday that the International Criminal Court sentenced Thomas Lubanga, a Congolese warlord, to 14 years for using child soldiers.
Editor, Our artistes are doing a great job and must be supported. I learnt with keen interest news that Rwandan Artistes Jean Paul Samputu, Massamba Intore, Miss Shannel, Mani Martin and Pianist Mico Marcel last week treated Rwandan peacekeepers in Sudan’s troubled Darfur region to a live music concert.
Editor, It is really sad to hear that our sisters and brothers who are students in DRC are being threatened by Congolese people. What have these students done? Are they fighting alongside the rebels in DRC? Why are they being used as a scapegoat? This is sad indeed!
Editor, I wish to comment on a documentary that was aired by Nation TV, a Kenyan television network, which linked some unidentified officials within the Kenyan government security circles to one Rwandan’s key Genocide suspect, Felicien Kabuga.
