‘Kagame honours pioneer of EA Revival Movement’
Editor,
I am happy to learn that President Paul Kagame paid a glowing tribute to the late Kosiya Kyamuhangire – father to Uganda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sam Kutesa – who passed away in 1952 in Gahini, Rwanda (The New Times, June 25).
Bishop Paul Ruzinda (rtd) from Mukono Diocese provided the best summary of the East African Revival Movement (TUKUTENDEREZA). Their Pan-Africanism was the natural RESULT (not the cause/goal) of their dedication to Biblical principles and truth.
The slogans most often repeated (and practiced) by these great men and women are simple but powerful: a) 1 SAMUEL 15:22-23 (choose obedience). b) MICAH: 6:6-8 (act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your GOD). c) ACTS 5:1-10 (conduct yourself honestly at all times and with all people).
