Ecobank Group, the largest Pan African banking group, is considering more acquisitions as a way of expanding its footprint in the world, the bank announced last week.

Revenue and tax officials from 14 African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) countries on Monday began a five-day workshop in Bujumbura to look at ways of improving the taxation of natural resources, Burundian Revenue Authority (OBR) Commissioner General told participants at the workshop.

The five member states of East African Community (EAC) block could be food sufficient if free trade is allowed to balance surplus and deficit countries, the World Bank said on Monday.
