Etincelles vs Mukura
Despite yesterday’s convincing 4-1 victory over AS Kigali, Rayon Sport Coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira has threatened to resign if the current financial crisis at the blues is not rectified.
Ntagwabira said; “What more does the club management want from the players. It’s not easy to pull off such results when you have not been paid your wages for over two months. If this issue is not quickly addressed, I will step down.”
The players and the coaching staff have gone two months without pay.
Fuadi Ndayisaba scored a brace while Leandre Sekamana and Said Abedi also got their names on the score sheet. Bodo Ndikumana scored AS Kigali’s consolation from the penalty spot.
With 25 points, the blues are now second to Police with 25 points.
The law enforcers extended their lead at the top after a 1-0 victory over Amagaju in Nyamagabe. New Brazilian signing Elvado scored the game’s only goal to take the club to 30 points.
In Rubavu, Marines and La Jeunesse played out a goalless draw at Umuganda stadium.
Action continues today when Etincelles hosts Mukura at Umuganda stadium.
