RWANDA men’s national volleyball team has received a major coaching boost ahead of FIVB Zone V World Championship Qualifiers due November 22-25 in Kigali.Algerian coach El Hadji Belgacen is in Rwanda to assist Rwanda’s coaches Paul Bitok and Jean Marie Nsengiyumva with technical assistance.Rwanda Volleyball Federation (FRVB) chairman Gustave Nkurunziza told local media on Wednesday that El Hadji is in the country on the arrangement between local federation and the Confederation of Africa Volleyball Board (CAVB)."El Hadji Belgacen will be in Rwanda until December 1 and just like everywhere, such professional coaches are sent to various countries to assist their national teams ahead of big competitions,” said Nkurunziza.This comes a month after Bitok was in Dar es Salaam to assist Tanzania during the recent Zone 5 Games held in Uganda.El Hadji is an official executive member from Etoile de Setif volleyball club, a top division Algeriaan club.He has coached a number of Rwandan professional volleyball players like Lawrence Yakan and Vincent Dusabimana during the 2011 Algerian league season.Five countries including Burundi, Kenya, Uganda, Egypt and Rwanda will compete in this regional event.Two countries will qualify for the African Championship in Egypt where the top three will make it for the 2014 World Championships in Poland.The national team is currently in preparations at Amahoro stadium and residing at Hill Top hotel in Remera.
