Striker Samson Jakesh has returned to training camp after the club promised to sort out the balance on his recruitment fee, which had prompted him to abandon the club in protest last week.
"We expect Jakesh to train with the rest of the team today (Wednesday). We are sorting out his issue as soon as he gets back to Nyanza,” the club Secretary General Olivier Gakwaya was quoted saying yesterday.
Jakesh, has been on strike and refused to either train or play for the Rwandan champions until the club settles the unpaid balance of Rwf1 million on his transfer fee.
He had initially been given Rwf3 million and according to Murenzi, he was promised to be given the balance in December.
However, the club chairman, who also doubles as the Mayor of Nyanza District, Abdallah Murenzi said last week that he was shocked by the behavior of the Ugandan striker whom he said shouldn’t be the one claiming the money but his agent Mujib Kasule.
But Jakesh’s return to the club will be good news for coach Didier Goems da Rosa as he prepares his troops for Saturday’s crucial match against archrivals APR in the eighth round of the Turbo King Football league.
