UGANDA Cranes head coach Serbian Milutin Micho Sredojovic has summoned 25 to start training ahead of the Fifa international friendly against Amavubi due on November 15 at at the Nelson Mandela stadium, Namboole. The team began the drills at KCCA’s Lugogo Stadium on Thursday. The Serb, meanwhile, stressed that Cranes players who have just returned home after running out of contracts with their foreign clubs were not guaranteed of places on the team for both Cecafa Challenge Cup and next year’s CHAN finals. "There is no guarantee for former cranes players who have returned home that they will have automatic inclusion in the Chan squad,” he told Supersport.com. "They have to satisfy me, they have to work hard for the position, everyone has the same chance for the upcoming Cecafa and Chan games.” Micho intends to continue the player assessment process every Saturday and Sunday until his picks his final squad for Amavubi friendly as Cecafa team. On the other hand Amavubi’s head coach Eric Nshimiyimana has revealed that the national side will commence training on November 11. The provincial squad will be released a day before. With the retirement of former skipper Olivier Karekezi, Nshimiyimana is expected to give an opportunity to youthful players and maximize the experience of Ugandan-born Meddie Kagere who will be playing in front of the Ugandan crowd for the first time since 2011 when he attained Rwandan nationality.
