Rayon Sports management has condemned the un-professional actions of strikers Samson Jakeshi and Papy Kamanzi aka Salita Kambale. Jakeshi has absconded from club activities over unpaid fees while Kamanzi has deserted the club and is suspected to be in Congo.Jakesh, recently signed from Uganda Revenue Authority, has gone on strike and refused to either train or play for the Rwandan champions until the club settles the unpaid balance of Rwf1 million on his transfer fee. However, the club chairman, who also doubles as the Mayor of Nyanza District Abdallah Murenzi e says he was shocked by the behavior of the Ugandan striker whom he says shouldn’t be the one claiming the money instead of his manager Mujib Kasule. He had initially been given Rwf3 million and according to Murenzi, he was promised to be given the balance in December. "Jakesh may decide to wait for his money by not training or playing for the team but when he is finally paid, he will have a few questions to answer for deserting the club,” Murenzi told Saturday Sport by phone yesterday.Murenzi admitted that Jakesh is not the only player the club owes money but the approach he is using  leaves a lot to be desired. He said, "It’s unprofessional for a player to do that because there are other ways through which to address these issues without causing trouble.”When asked about the issue, Jakesh said, "The date which I had been promised to get the balance has passed without being told anything and I fear I might not get the money.” As for Kamanzi, he walked out of the team’s base mid last month after being sidelined by an injury he sustained in the game against AS Muhanga and is reported to be back to his native DR Congo."It’s not something new for Rayon Sports as some of some of the Congolese players have done it before. The club’s management will have a discussion about the player’s plight,” the club Secretary General Olivier Gakwaya said. Murenzi has urged Coach Gomes Didier da Rosa to feature the available players and not to be held captive by the in-disciplined players. The champions visit Mukura today in the Turbo King Football League looking to hand the Huye-based side a second successive defeat following the 1-1 loss to APR in midweek.
