The East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) yesterday sworn in its newest member, Rwandan MP Celestin Kabahizi.

The brief ceremony was conducted by EALA Speaker Margaret Nantongo Zziwa and the Deputy Clerk, Alex Obatre, during an EALA session in Bujumbura, Burundi. Kabahizi was elected on Monday by Rwandan lawmakers, replacing Jacqueline Muhongayire, who was appointed Rwanda’s Minister for EAC Affairs in July 2013.
