A slow start for Rwanda at East Africa Golf Challenge

Rwanda got off to a slow start at the 15th edition of the East Africa Golf Challenge currently going on at the Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort in Naivasha, Kenya.

Rwanda got off to a slow start at the 15th edition of the East Africa Golf Challenge currently going on at the Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort in Naivasha, Kenya.Rwandan team comprised of Leonard Nkurunziza, Patrick Uwumukiza, Aphrodis Nyirikwaya, Celestin Habineza, Emmanuel Habineza, Jules Mutesa, Francois Habimana and Nsabimana finished in fourth position after playing three rounds of the regional tournament.The team has amassed 5.5 points after two days of action played on Wednesday and Thursday. Uganda maintained its grip at the top of the leaderboard on the third round of action with fifteen points, while Kenya leapfrogged Tanzania to take second spot with eleven points with Tanzania coming third with ten points.New entrant Ethiopia is fifth with three and half points, while Burundi is last with two and half points.Rwanda will be seeking to improve on their fourth place finish last year during the Burundi edition where they registered 11.5 points to come behind Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
