Police FC coach Sam Ssimbwa has hailed the positive reaction from his players in the wake of their third victory of the Turbo King Football League season. The former Ugandan international midfielder was all smiles on Wednesday as his team enhanced their title aspirations with a 6-0 drabbing of Etincelles at Stade de Kigali.Midfielder Imran Nshimiyimana scored a brace while Peter Kagabo, Jean d'amour Uwimana, Kipson Atuheire and Jacques Tuyisenge all scored as league runners-up in the last two seasons sent a strong statement to their rivals.Halting unbeaten records of Rayon Sports and Etincelles, Ssimbwa's side has started to grow in confidence following an indifferent start to the season with embarrassing draws against promoted Gicumbi and a loss to Musanze and another against APR."I feel happy with their performance, attitude and focus of my players. They are starting to grasp my philosophy and slowly by slowly they are regaining their self belief, which seemed to be missing in the first three matches," Ssimbwa told Times Sport. He added, "They (players) have put in excellent performances to beat two sides that had unbeaten records, and to me, it's something to beproud of and credit goes to them."For Etincelles, it was a disappointing day for coach Abdu Bizimana, who endured his first defeat of the season. The Rubavu-based side will seek to address the mistakes in their defensive line for the weekend visit of APR on Sunday. Police, who moved to the fifth position with eleven points, will be up against the leaders AS Kigali on Saturday at Kicukiro turf.
