It was refreshing to have the East African Intergration Project Summit and the Transform Africa 2013 around the same time – all in Kigali.

That was a masterstroke of planning.

At this point in time, Kigali is the veritable hub of East Africa and African technology!

I hope that, 20 years down the road, as a direct result of the decisions taken in the Rwandan capital this week, a technologically, economically, and socially transformed population of this long suffering continent will look back in time and say: That is when and where our fortunes changed and our journey to a truly independent and prosperous Africa really began!

May God bless Rwanda, may God bless Africa.
