Editor,
I was delighted to read the article, "Rwanda 2nd best place for business in Africa” (The New Times, October 30), in which it was reported that the country is now the second best place to do business in Africa, according to a new World Bank’s Doing Business report.
Moving up 22 places globally to occupy position number 32 is also no mean feat.
No doubt that it is the visionary leadership of President Paul Kagame, coupled with the hardworking and determination of the people of this great nation, which enables Rwanda to constantly climb up the ladder of success.
This was acknowledged at the ongoing Transform Africa Summit in Kigali. It is important to have a dream, but what is even more important is to convert that dream into a vision and ultimately reality.
Rwanda has shown that despite the shambles the country was in during and in the immediate aftermath of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, it has emerged victorious and is today a glowing example in matters nation-building not just to Africa, but to the entire world.
As always, I wish Rwanda a continued success in the quest for excellence.
