District to raze kiosks

Authorities in Burera district have given traders in Kidaho trading centre a two weeks’ ultimatum to remove all the kiosks. The move is to create space of a new modern market whose construction is yet to begin.
It is intended to enhance commercial activities in the district. According to the vice mayor in charge of economic affairs, Joseph Zaraduhaye, the market worth Frw520m will be constructed within a period of six month, with funding from the Belgian Technical Cooperation (BTC).
Zaraduhaye explained that the decision was agreed upon by the district leaders and traders during their recent meeting.
