NYAMASHEKE —The District Vice Mayor in charge of Economic Affairs, Oscar Nzeyimana, has urged district Community Development Committees (CDC) to be more committed to their work for better service delivery.

Nzeyimana made the call on Monday while addressing CDC members during a two-day seminar at Shangi sector office.

The workshop that attracted 42 participants from Bushenge, Shangi and Nyabitekeri sectors was aimed at equipping participants with more skills to enhance development.

"As CDC workers who are here in this workshop I appeal to you to always be determined and committed to your daily activities because that is when our district will achieve better results,” Nzeyimana said.

He asked the trainees to always write reports on their activities in their respective areas and send them to the district management in time for supervision.

Nzeyimana also urged the group to collaborate with government authorities in the execution of their duties.

For development programmes to succeed, participants were told to promote peace, unity and reconciliation among residents.
