As part of development of the young talented players from the grassroots level, Rwanda Football Federation, plans to launch a junior league dubbed Turbo Kids National Football League ‘TKNFL’.The kid’s league, which will feature players below the age of 16 years playing at different stadia, will precede the Turbo King National Football League matches.The Ferwafa official in charge of talent detection and education, Antoine Rutsindura said that the initiative is aimed at having as many kids as possible playing football."This programme will help players aged 16 and below to improve their lives through sport. The registered teams will play at various grounds just before the kick off of the senior league matches,” he said.He added that, "Some of these youth teams are formed by the senior clubs which play in the national league as academies. The purpose is for development of young talents that will one day play in the senior clubs.”Some of the teams which will participate include; Esperance de Remera, Shining Star, Etincelles, Marines, AS Kigali, AS Muhanga, Vision Youth, Gicumbi, Mukura, Youth Development Center, Volcano Youth, Les Abeilles De Busogo, SC Kiyovu , Centre De Gikondo, Rayon SportS, Musanze, Amagaju, Foundation Eto, Mparirwakurusha, Ejo Hazaza, Esperance, Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle among others.
