Uganda's Abagurusi (veterans) cricket team are planning to visit Rwanda next month to take part in two-day friendly tournament from November 2-3 at Kicukiro Cricket ground.The 15-man contingent will be led by former Ugandan internationals A. K. Lutaaya and Latimer Mukasa.Rwanda’s Abakambwe captain Charles Haba said yesterday, "The last time we played against them was in 2011 and we beat them. So we have a lot of confidence and hope that history will repeat it’s self.”Haba added that they have put together a strong team comprising of former Rwandan national players like Julius Mbaraga, Henry Zizinga, Emmanuel Byiringiro and Gatera Venuste among others.Joshua Mwanja the General Manager of Rwanda Cricket Association said, "We are excited about hosting the Abagurusi. Such games help us to strengthen ties between the two countries as well as promote cricket in the region.”During their tour, they will visit Rwanda Cricket Stadium Foundation in Gahanga and Kicukiro Memorial museum.
