Rwanda's veteran long distance runner registered his first half marathon victory of the season as he raced past two Kenyans to win the 24th edition of the Coulée Verte half marathon in France over the weekend. Disi clocked one hour, four minutes and forty six seconds to win in a decisive sprint finish. He beat Kenyan duo of Stephen Ogari and Jvans Kosgei who won silver and bronze respectively. Disi told Times Sport from Paris yesterday, "This was a tactical race because I had to come from behind to beat Ogari to the victory. I knew their tactics very well and all I did was to allow them to be in-front as I charged from behind.” "I owe this victory to good training and being able to win the race in the remaining 400 metres shows really the good work I am doing in training. The course was fast but hilly, which explains my low time finish,” added Disi. The victory comes a month after Disi proved that he is still strong as he finished fourth in the 2013 France half marathon in Belfort.  He run 01:05:22 in a race that was won by Moroccan neutralised French athlete Meftah Abdellatif. The former 10.000m and 5.000m national champion, Disi is doing his best to revive his career as he gears up for next year’s Commonwealth Games in Scotland. Early this year, he finished fourth in the Bii Maybank Bali Marathon in Indonesia. Disi last participated in an international competition in 2010 during the Delhi Commonwealth Games.
