Former Amavubi Stars coach Michael Nees has shown interest in occupying the hottest seat in Ugandan football, which is coaching the Cranes.

The German, who proved a major flop during his time in charge of the Amavubi Stars and compatriot Dietmar Demuth are the latest names to show interest to replace Laszlo Csaba.

Romania-born Laszlo resigned his Cranes job to take up as manger of Scottish club Hearts.

The 44-year-old former Ferencváros and Borussia Mönchengladbach coach signed a three-year contract.

Since he left, Uganda football authorities led by their federation president Lawrence Mulindwa have been on the look out for a new coach.

Late last week, Nees is reported to have contacted Mulindwa expressing interest in taking over the Cranes job to which the Fufa boss asked him to send his curriculum vitae.

Another former Rwanda national team coach Ratomir Dujkovic is also interesting Mulindwa however, his wage (presumed to be very high) could be the only stumbling block.

The Serbian guided Rwanda to her first ever African Nations Cup finals appearance in 2004 and two years later, he also steered Ghana’s Black Stars to their first ever World Cup finals appearance.

Just last week, Dujkovic was sacked by the Chinese Football Association as Olympic soccer coach just three weeks before the start of the Beijing Games.

Dujkovic, who has been running the under-23 Olympic team since late 2006, is reported to have been moved into another job and replaced by Yin Tiesheng.
