Two Kigali Golf Club members are staging a one-day event at the club today.Henry Rugamba and Marcel Byusa under the auspices of their events management companies are staging an 18-hole event dubbed Hema and Gisorora golf tournament.

Rugamba who is the club’s public relations officer says that the whole idea of this tournament is to have more competitions on the course. "We know for a fact that more events in the long run entice more sponsors,” Rugamba said.

Adding that, "We (Duo) saw it fit to keep golfers occupied on one of the weekends”. "It’s going to be a special event because it’s going to be held for the first time,” the club captain Rajan Tiwari said.

Like most club tournaments, tee-off is at 8am and stroke play is the mode of play.

The main event will be split into three categories; 0-9, 10-18 and 19-28 handicaps.
Other competitive categories include ladies and national team.
