Four new faces have been added to the men’s volleyball senior national team provisional squad, which is preparing for the Zone V qualifiers for the 2014 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship to be held in Poland.
Four new faces have been added to the men’s volleyball senior national team provisional squad, which is preparing for the Zone V qualifiers for the 2014 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship to be held in Poland. The new players include; GSOB right attacker Nelson Murangwa, APR center Fabrice Nkezabahizi, INATEK center William Mudahemuka Songo and Lycee de Nyanza setter Thierry Mugabo. The four are making their debut on the national team, which is under the guidance of Kenyan coach Paul Bitok and assisted by Jean Marie Nsengiyumva.The Zone V tournament is slated to run from November 25 to December 1 in Kigali and it will attract five teams including Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Egypt and the host Rwanda.Veteran Vincent Dusabimana and Emile Karera ‘Dada’ have been recalled after missing the Sub Zone tournament in June due to injury. Other young players summoned include impressive NUR Olivier Ntagengwa, APR right attacker Aimable Mutuyimana.Provisional squad:Bosco Mutabazi, Aimable Mutuyimana, Adolphe Mutoni, Elie Mutabazi , Fred Musoni and Hyango Theodore (APR), Olivier Ntagengwa, Tuyishime, Eric Nsabimana, Emile Dada Karera (NRU), Flavien Ndamukunda, Kwizera Marchal, Herve Kagimbura and William Mudahemuka Songo (INATEK), Thierry Mugabo (Lycee de Nyanza) and Nelson Murangwa (GSOB).Others are Dusabimana Vincent (Rayon Sports VC) Algeria-based; pair Yakan Guma Lawrence (Etoile Sportive de Setif) and Mukunzi Christopher (El Fanar).
