This year’s Carre d’As volleyball tournament which brings together the top four teams in national league takes place this weekend at Amahoro indoor stadium court.The four men’s teams taking part include; the league champions National University of Rwanda (NUR), APR, Lycee de Nyanza and Kibungo Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Education (INATEK).In the women category, the champions APR, Rwanda Revenue Authority, St Alloys Rwamagana and Ruhango will play their preliminary round matches at NPC Gymnasium court and the final at Amahoro indoor stadium.According to the Rwanda Volleyball Federation Secretary General Christian Hatumimana, all teams in both genders will meet on a round-robin basis on Saturday and the two winners in each category will play the final on Sunday. APR are the defending champions in both categories.The Carre d’As champions will walk away with Rwf0.4m, the first runners-up will get Rwf0.3m Rwf0.25m for the third-paced and the team that finishes fourth will take home Rwf0.15m in cash prize.Meanwhile, on Sunday, NUR men and APR women teams will be officially crowned the league champions.
