Rwanda men’s basketball team centre forward Kami Kabange has joined Morocco’s side AS FAR (Force Armee Royale) in a one-year deal worth $10,000 (about Rwf6.8m), Times Sport has learnt.
The former APR and Espoir player has been undergoing trials at the Moroccan first division side for the last two weeks. After impressing, it is reported that he signed a Rwf6.8m one-year deal which will go to his Ugandan club City Oil, and he will be getting $3000 per month (about Rwf2m).
The 29-year -old player joins AS Far de Rabat after spending one season with City Oil which he joined after a stint with Rwandan champions Espoir a season before.
The DR Congo-born player will be allowed to return to Kampala to play for City Oils in the Ugandan league Playoffs games before linking up with his new club next month. Kabange becomes the second Rwandan to feature in Morocco after Kenneth Gasana, who played for Charab Hoaciema for two seasons.
