The South African who was yet to play the second round, mixed 10 birdies, including five in a row from the 10th, with three bogeys in breaking the record of 66 set by Pakistan’s Mohammed Munir at Tower Links Golf Club last year.England’s David Law, Spain’s Antonio Arjona Bueno and Andreas Finn of Sweden, who all carded a 67, shared the second place, one ahead of MG Keyser of South Africa, Blair Wilson of New Zealand and Ian Keenan of England.Hakizimana is seeking to make amends after missing the cut in the prestigious Shaikh Maktoum Dubai Open at the Al Badia Golf Club in Dubai.Hakizimana shot six over par 150 gross on the opening two days of action. He started his opening round with a score of 74 and followed up with 76 hoping that his scores failed to make the cut with the organisers of the tournament considering the top 50 golfers in this event that is part of the Mena Golf Tour.After the Ras Al Khaumah Classic which ends on October 16, focus will be shifted to Abu Dhabi Golf Citizen Open Saadiy at Golf Club from October 20th-23rd, Qatar Classic at Doha Golf Club from October 27-30, Oman tour at the Ghala Valley Golf Club from November 3-6 and wind up with the Mena Tour Championship at Al Ain Equestrian Shooting & Golf Club from November 10-13 which will have a prize money worth $75,000.The top prize is $50,000(Rwf. 33.9m) in each of the first four tours that will be shared by 50 professional players in the tournament.
