After winning the volleyball league title, the National University of Rwanda (NUR) head coach Fidele Nyirimana ‘Fidjo’ has confirmed the new offer to manage Rayon Sports Volleyball Club in the upcoming season.
After winning the volleyball league title, the National University of Rwanda (NUR) head coach Fidele Nyirimana ‘Fidjo’ has confirmed the new offer to manage Rayon Sports Volleyball Club in the upcoming season.
Nyirimana (head coach), Jean de Dieu Bagirishya (assistant coach) and many National University of Rwanda senior players have all been signed by the Nyanza-based club which has decided to invest in upgrading the standards of the sport in the country. He said, "We have got new roles at Rayon Sports volleyball club. We have decided to go equipped with some of senior players such that we can lift the club to greater heights,” he revealed.NUR which won the 2013 men’s volleyball league title has been one of the successful clubs in the country after winning nine league trophies. However, they are likely to lose key players namely; Eric Nsabimna Machine, Olivier Ntagengwa, Guillaume Irakarama, Evode Munyandinda, Jean Luc Mbonyuwontuma ‘Kizungu’, Clement Musabe and Cyprian Uwimana to Rayon Sports .Other players that Rayon Sports seeks to sign include; Inatek right attacker pair of Flavien Ndamukunda and Richard Muhirwa ‘Sungu Sungu’ and former Qatar based player Vincent Dusabimana Gasongo.
