Nineteen to compete in second division league

Nineteen Clubs will compete in the 2013 second division league with the finalists gaining promotion to the 2014 Turbo King Football League. The second division league, which kicks off on November 30 will see teams competing in two pools. Isonga and Sunrise football clubs are favourites to qualify from Pool A after being drawn against Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle, Vision FC, Intare, Kirehe, Rwamagana, Sorwathe, Gasabo United and Akagera. In Pool B, Bugesera, Sec academy, Etoile de l’est, United Stars, Unity, Interforce, UNR, Aspor and Pepiniere will square off with the best four placed teams qualifying for the quarter-finals. Last season, Esperance and Gicumbi qualified from the second division league replacing Etincelles and Isonga. But Etincelles, who finished 13th were further reinstated after La Jeunesse opted out.
