Yakan helps ES Setif to win Algerian Super Cup

Rwandan international player, Lawrence Yakan Guma on Friday night helped his Algeria first division side L’Etoile Sportif de Setif to win the first trophy of the season, the Super Cup.

FridayES Setif    3-0    GSPRwandan international player, Lawrence Yakan Guma on Friday night helped his Algeria first division side L’Etoile Sportif de Setif to win the first trophy of the season, the Super Cup.L’Etoile de Setif easily beat their rivals Oilers GSP 3-0, 25-23, 25-18 and 25-16. The Super Cup is the curtain-raiser to the 2013/14 season, which is scheduled to kick off next weekend. This is ES Setif’s third title after they won the Algerian league in 2010 and the Algerian Cup early this year."I am a happy man, but this is just the start, I need to give everything to win more with this team and I hope I will continue to perform well,” Guma told Times Sport by e-mail.He added, "The season starts next weekend, and with this win over the league champions, we hope it gives more belief that we can actually win the league.”Guma will be part of the national team which will play in the Zone 5 World Championship Qualifiers tournament due to be held in Kigali from November 25 to December 1.
