R&B MUSICIANS Tom Close and the boy band Dream boys on Saturday entertained  Musanze youth from various schools as part of the campaign organized by National Youth Council to fight against drugs and unwanted pregnancies.It was fun and merry making as the artistes fully graced the stage with a lot of energy to the delight of the crowd mainly made up of school going as well as adults and local officials who attended the campaign.Dream Boys were the first on stage crooning out their latest single ‘TubayeUmwe’ which got the crowd singing along to the love lyrics.Theduo PlatiniNemeyeand Claude Mujyanama aka TMC who make up Dream Boys also performed their other beloved hit ‘Urareaharyana’ before Tom Close took the stage.Real names Thomas Muyombo, Tom Close joined Dream Boys to perform ‘Kanda amazi’, which made members of the crowd  to sing along and dance.They later jointly sang the remix of ‘Rubanda’, a well-known classic which they redid with the original composer AbdoulMakanyaga. The remix features all artistes recording under Kina Music label including Christopher and Knowless.The crowd again was amazed and the song received a deafening applause.The winner of the first Primus GumaGuma Superstar music competition then continued his performance with ‘UnshinjaguraUmutima’ and ‘Komezautsinde’.The Musanze student community enjoyed the performance, joining the singer on stage to dance the afternoon away."We are blessed to have those artistes here, we normally hear them on radio and watch then on television but it is my first time to meet each one of them. Dream Boys and Tom Close sing inspiring songs,” Devothe Uwamaliya one of the students said.The students were glad to have the artistes around spreading a good message through music. The singers encouraged students to live a better life free from drugs and unwanted pregnancies if they are to have a brighter future."I and Dream Boys are friends and work together as brothers. We are here to say that we love you Rwanda’s young generation and we are encouraging you to live better lives, grow into responsible citizens who do not consume drugs or carry unwanted pregnancies,” said Tom Close."As musicians we are living an exemplary life. We never consume drugs, so we wish you to live the same way,” he told the cheering youthful crowd.As curtains fell on the show, everyone walked home with a smile and a positive message to take to others.
