Rwanda ready for Sitball World Cup

Rwanda Sitball National team has declared themselves ready to launch a successful title defence when the World Sitball Championship gets underway on Friday at the National Paralympics Committee gymnasium and Amahoro indoor stadium in Remera.

Head coach team Elie Manirarora told Times Sport yesterday, "The team is in its right shape of mind, ready for the world championships. "The players are responding well to our tactical approach which will be used to retain the title. They are mentally okay and the mood in team is positive. We believe we will do better in the tournament”. "We did not manage to get international warm up matches but I am not worried about preparations, everything went well. We have the home advantage and we must use it to our best. I am also  convinced that we are ready for the title,” added Manirarora. Rwanda will kick off their defense against debutants Kenya, Germany, DR Congo and Uganda, all to be played on Friday. On second day, Rwanda will meet Burundi and Swiss. Besides, European sides Switzerland and Germany which arrived in the country over the weekend, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi and Uganda are expected in country today and all delegations will be staying at Hilltop Hotel.
