Top 10 contestants were selected to progress to the next stage of Mutzig Amabeats DJ competition during a ceremony that took place this Saturday, August 12, at the new Shooters Lounge.

The 10 deejays were reduced from 40 contestants who registered to participate in the second edition of the competition sponsored by Bralirwa Plc.

The selected DJs include DJ Yolo , DJ Noodlot , DJ Bhura, DJ Oz The DJ , DJ Kayg, DJ Lenzo and DJ Dallas.

Others include former participants in the competition including the likes of DJ Illest, DJ Kavori and DJ Montag.

The semifinals of the MŰTZIG AMABEATS DJ Competition scheduled to take place in September will see two DJs compete against each other to secure a place for the grand finale.

DJ Lenzo will face DJ Noodlot, DJ Montag and DJ Illest, DJ Kayg and DJ Bhura, DJ Yolo and DJ Oz The DJ, as well as DJ Kavori vs DJ Dallas.

The contest is organised by Bralirwa Plc with a goal to promote DJs and create public awareness of the talent and quality music in Rwanda, as well as provide business opportunities, networking, and leisure activities through competitions.

The winner of the competition will be awarded a one-year brand ambassador contract valued at RWF 18,000,000, along with DJ equipment worth RWF 5,000,000.

The first runner-up will also be awarded a one-year contract as brand ambassador valued at RWF 12,000,000, along with DJ equipment worth RWF 2,500,000 while the 2nd Runner up will be awarded a cash prize of RWF 2,500,000.
