Recently I had a brief visit a Little Bears day care to the center. As always, I was welcomed by the children’s innocent smiles and smooth hugs.

Still in the mood of greeting, I managed to hug at least every child in the room including Teta Rania Mugambe who is 2 years old.

I love watching what children do in their free activity time mostly when they are chatting with other children. This helps me to identify their personalities and interests in different areas.

When watching these children, I found myself looking at Teta over and over again. Teta had some thing unique about her. She was playing and talking with the rest while holding a toy bag.

Teta could not put her toy bag down.
Teta’s bag was rather light so she found it easy to carry it on her left shoulder and arm.

Teta could sit, run, laugh, and look at other children playing all the while carrying the toy bag.

"There’s something unique about this toy bag,” I thought.
When I asked her teacher Liz, she told me that Teta and the toy bag are inseparable.

"It is so amazing that the bag does not belong to her, it is her friend’s.” said teacher Liz. We then discovered what the secret behind Teta’s bag was.

Teta was just attracted to the bag because it is brightly colored with pink, yellow, blue, cream and white.

Teta is such a lovely and peaceful child. She loves caring for others and has a big appetite. After having her lunch, Teta sleeps straight away.

If you do not escort or carry her to her bed, Teta will have no problem with sleeping where she has been eating.
