Rwanda National Olympic and Sport Committee have reached an agreement with high-profile Italian sportswear manufacturer, Errea Sport to dress all national teams.
Rwanda National Olympic and Sport Committee have reached an agreement with high-profile Italian sportswear manufacturer, Errea Sport to dress all national teams. Errea was the first sportswear company to be accredited with the Oeko-tex standard certification, which assures that garments textiles are free from harmful chemicals. The local Olympic Committee boss Robert Bayigamba said in a news briefing on Thursday that the agreement will see Errea providing sportswear for all national teams at an affordable price. "The aim of having one sportswear provider is to ensure that all our national teams have the same dressing code while representing the country in any international competition. "We have a direct contact with the manufacturer and we agreed to have good rates and our own chosen design,” Bayiganba revealed. He noted, "We are delighted to start working closely with Errea sport to improve the presentation of our national teams through the provision of high-quality technical sportswear.” Errea Sport, founded in 1988, is an Italian company specialising in the production of technical sportswear and is regarded as one of the leading brands at both national and international level. In Africa, Errea has supplied official playing kit for several national teams and clubs including; Burundi, Cape Verde, DR Congo, Liberia and Niger, Algeria, Sante Kotoko (Ghana), Mathare United (Kenya), Al Hilal (Sudan), San Marcelo (Senegal). The national team to the 2014 Commonwealth Games may be the first to wear the new uniform which has been designed and manufactured in Italy specifically for Rwanda.
