Editor,I congratulate Hon. Mathias Harebamungu (State minister, Primary and Secondary Education) for his spirited efforts in developing a reading culture in Rwanda. And I agree that with every page read, a mind grows larger.
Editor,I congratulate Hon. Mathias Harebamungu (State minister, Primary and Secondary Education) for his spirited efforts in developing a reading culture in Rwanda. And I agree that with every page read, a mind grows larger.I would also encourage students – especially those in primary and secondary schools who have access to the Internet– to get in the habit of reading, daily if possible, news websites such as The New Times as well as international news. The ability to read news will produce the best reading skills that are required to pass examinations, if students wish to be eligible for top universities around the world. Happy reading!Peter Thorp, GashoraHeadteacher, Gashora Girls Academy, BugeseraReaction to the story, "Minister: Reading gap still a concern”, (The New Times, October 3)
