It is intended to minimise waste and emissions and maximise product output. By analysing the flow of materials and energy in a company, one tries to identify options to minimise waste and emissions out of industrial processes through source reduction strategies.Here are examples for cleaner production options:Documentation of consumption (as a basic analysis of material and energy flows); use of indicators and controlling (to identify losses from poor planning; poor education and training, mistakes); substitution of raw materials and auxiliary materials (especially renewable materials and energy); increase of useful life of auxiliary materials and process liquids (by avoiding drag in, drag out, contamination); improved control and automation; reuse of waste (internal or external); new, low waste processes and technologies.Let’s start using our resources (water, energy, material and chemicals) properly and share responsibility to manage our small resources. By putting all of this into practice, our homes and companies will make more profits due to the low bill from EWSA, and sustainable development will be assured.Bruce, Kigali
