Editor,I wish to thank the Prime Minister, Pierre-Damien Habumuremyi, for his piece, "Rwanda today: Fruits of real patriotism”, (The New Times, October 1).It is a rich article. Indeed, on that day, we celebrate a memorable event that we cannot forget in our history. That’s the day the RPF-Inkotanyi decided to end the darkness that engulfed Rwanda over decades, and the day that opened a new era of hope and dignity for all Rwandans. The PM said it all.We, the young generation, are proud of President Paul Kagame who spearheaded the struggle that ultimately liberated Rwanda from a genocidal and tyrannical regime, and put an end to the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. We are also grateful for the ongoing struggle to liberate Rwandans from poverty with programmes that lead to inclusive and sustainable socio-economic development.Jean-Marie Vianney Gatabazi, Kigali
