Dear editor,
That teachers are going to be trained and equipped with more skills is very welcome.

Their role in society demands a lot attention so that our future generation is not jeopardized.

Like sharpening a knife, teachers need to keep up-to-date with new developments.

Otherwise, they would not be of any use if they continued to rely on what they learnt so many years to teach.

Teachers for example need to know how to use computers while preparing to teach.

The internet provides the best libraries and in our country where we do not have many books, the reliance on internet cannot be overemphasized.

So please allow many more funds in the education sector.
